How do I sign up for a service if I'm a new client?
To get started, click on any button that says “get started” whether you are on your phone or desktop. You will be directed to our system to fill out some preliminary information. If you have a question, you can go to the “contact us” page or contact us directly at karen@laughingpetsatlanta.com.
How do I schedule or cancel services?
We require clients to request or cancel visits through the app, Time to Pet. Download it from Google Play or Apple App Store.
Are you paperless?
Yes! We are paperless. All information is stored in our online pet sitting software, Time to Pet. Your care provider can access your profile from a phone app. Using Time to Pet you can request visits, pay invoices, update your profile and communicate with us. Download the app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
Why is a consultation needed?
The “meet and greet” gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, familiarize ourselves with your home and most importantly, spend time getting to know your pets. In addition, if we have questions about your instructions, we can get clarification. There is a charge of $25 for any additional meetings. Please be prepared to show rabies vaccination records, provide us with 2 keys and determine a place for the lockbox.
How do you access our home?
The safety of your home is a top priority for us. Laughing Pets Atlanta.
If you have electronic locks or a garage entry, we only require one working key which we keep in our office.
We require two working keys if your home has traditional locks. One key is to be kept in a lockbox at your home and the other in our office. You are not required to put the lockbox on your door. You will determine the best place to put it. Keys must be provided at the initial consultation. Lockboxes will be not be provided by Laughing Pets Atlanta.
You must provide a gate card, remote or access codes if you live in a gated community. We prefer not to access your home via the leasing office, calling you or by receiving access through a concierge. We understand that is the only way to access your home so we will discuss some “work arounds”
If you live in an apartment or condo that requires a fob or gate card, you must provide at least one fob.
We understand that many apartments and condos to not give more than one fob to a resident. We will discuss alternatives that help us gain access in a very timely manner.
What is your cancellation policy?
How do I make payment?
We require that all accounts have credit card on file. Time to Pet is secure and we will not charge your card without permission. We accept all major credit cards, ACH and checks.
Should I tip my care provider?
Gratuity is not required, but it is always appreciated when you choose to recognize the dedication and care that your care provider offers to you, your pets and your home. Your care provider will receive 100% of the gratuity. You can tip on an invoice that is paid (for tips after completion of service) or not paid from the app under “invoices.” If we are charging your card monthly, there’s an option to add a recurring tip that we will apply to each invoice.
Can your care provider administer medication?
Yes, care providers are educated in dispensing oral medications but do not administer injections or subQ fluids. There is no additional charge for dispensing medications of any kind.
How much advance notice do you require?
There is no such thing as booking a service “too early!” We are happy to accept last-minute requests as our schedule can accommodate. Requests made after 3pm the day before will incur an additional flat fee of $10.

Payment Policies
Laughing Pets Atlanta accepts credit cards, checks and cash as payment. Checks can be written to: Laughing Pets Atlanta, LLC. Payment is due prior to the beginning of any services scheduled unless otherwise agreed upon by Laughing Pets Atlanta. Past due balances will incur a late charge of $25 will continue to be accrued monthly until the balance is paid in full.
Cancellation policies for non holiday services
Dog Walking and Pet Sitting: We understand that plans can change. We don’t charge for cancellations with adequate notice. However, cancellations made the day before a visit will be charged full price of the visit.
Overnight Services: Laughing Pets Atlanta is limited in the amount of overnights that can be scheduled and when this service is booked, LPA may turn down other overnight requests. Clients will be required to pay a 50% deposit within 2 days of booking to guarantee service. The remaining balance must be paid prior to the first date of service.
All cancellations and refunds are based on your original reservation dates regardless of any changes to your travel plans. Refund eligibility is calculated from the first day of service.
With 3+ weeks’ notice, full refund of deposit. Less than 3 weeks’ notice, deposit is forfeited. Less than 1 weeks’ notice, full reservation amount will be charged. Account credits are not available for overnight services.
Payment and Cancellation Policies for Holiday Services
Holiday Overnight Services and Pet Sitting Visits: Clients will be asked to pay in full within 2 days of booking all services in order to guarantee holiday service. Laughing Pets Atlanta is limited in the amount of overnights and pet sitting services that can be scheduled and when booked, Laughing Pets Atlanta may turn down other requests.
All cancellations and refunds are based on the original reservation dates regardless of changes to your travel plans, including late departure or early returns. Refund eligibility is calculated from the first date of service.
Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:
Cancellation with 8+ week notice, 100% refund. Cancellatiomns 6-8 week notice, 50% refund. Less than 3 weeks’ notice, no refunds or credits.
Holiday surcharges for pet sitting visits and overnight pet sitting will apply for all services.
2025 Holidays include:
Martin Luther King’s Birthday Weekend, President’s Day Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Weekend of Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Break (11/25 -11/29), Christmas/Winter Holiday Season (12/19 – 1/5)
2026 Holidays include:
Martin Luther King’s Birthday Weekend, President’s Day Weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, Weekend of Easter Sunday, Independence Day (7/3-7/5), Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Break (11/26 -11/29), Christmas/Winter Holiday Season (12/18 – 1/3)
